ITF and IMG Academy announce close junior tennis partnership

The International Tennis Federation and IMG Academy have announced a new relationship that kicks off the ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Rankings Presented by IMG Academy. Thus, IMG Academy has become the ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Rankings presenting sponsor and the updated ITF Junior Rankings will be displayed on the IMG Academy website in the future. This is another step in the ITF's attempts to reform the junior tennis and allow talented youngsters to make a quick transition towards the professional circuit. 

Founded in 1978, Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy has been serving as the meeting point for some of the most talented players in the last 40 years, including Andre Agassi, Monica Seles, Jim Courier, Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, Kei Nishikori and many others. Some of the most promising juniors are currently working at the IMG Academy, at the state of art facilities and with the best possible coaches who are there to develop their game into the right direction and prepare them for the challenging tasks of the professional tennis.

Senior Executive Director of ITF Circuits, Kris Dent, said: “The ITF takes its responsibility for the Junior World Tennis Tour and the development and progression of its talented young players very seriously. We welcome this relationship with IMG Academy who share our dedication and passion.”

Jimmy Arias, IMG Academy Director of Player Development, added: “The development of junior tennis players has been at the core of IMG Academy’s DNA for more than four decades. It is exciting to be able to align with the ITF to combine our resources and expertise to promote the game of tennis to the next generation of players around the world.”
