Juan Martin del Potro reflects on comeback Delray Beach Open win

World No. 4 Juan Martin del Potro admitted to feeling a bit tired towards the end of his first match since returning from a kneecap fracture.

The top-seeded Argentine handed a straight-set defeat to world No. 72 Yoshihito Nishioka 6-3 7-5 at the Delray Beach on Tuesday.

Del Potro saved a break point in the seventh game before he got the crucial break of the first set a game later.

"I need to keep working hard on my legs because I felt tired at the end of the second set, but that's normal for [right now]."

Del Potro, who fractured his kneecap at the Rolex Shanghai Masters in October, missed the Nitto ATP Finals and this year's Australian Open.

"Still hurts sometimes will see how I feel tomorrow...I was thinking about it all the time...when I got tired I started to fill a little bit of pain but that's normal," del Potro revealed, per John Horn Twitter.

Del Potro is set for a tough Delray Beach round-of-16 clash as he plays next in-form New York Open champion Reilly Opelka.

Del Potro and Opelka are set to clash for the first time against other as they have no previous meetings.
