Verdasco: 'Federer is the most talented player. While Djokovic, Nadal...'

Verdasco lost to Daniil Medvedev this week at the Rotterdam Open in the second round. The Spaniard is still satisfied with the level he is playing at: "I am playing well. Every week I am winning some matches, this is important. I am trying to do things well."

He also made an interesting claim: "The entire Spanish tennis is a little bit eclipsed by Rafael Nadal, one of the best tennis players and sportsmen of all time."

On the new Davis Cup format, Verdasco added: "I have been a fan of tennis since/was a kid. I saw the Davis Cup as an opportunity for a competition that can be great in the future. I think we (Kosmos) are a great partner for the ITF to organise this competition and we truly believe that in the future starting from this year it will get better and better."

The ITF President David Haggerty said: “This draw marks another stage of the journey to the Davis Cup Finals where these 18 nations will give their all for their teammates, their country and their fans.
