ATP Indian Wells - Wednesday Schedule: Roger Federer to play

A very interesting Wednesday is happening in Indian Wells. At 11:00 AM Rafael Nadal will face Filip Krajinovic for the first time in career. They were supposed to meet each other in the 2017 Paris Masters quarter-finals but Nadal withdrew due to a knee injury. At 1:00 PM Garbine Muguruza will play against Bianca Andreescu, then Roger Federer will meet Kyle Edmund for the first time in career. The Swiss is coming from a win over Stan Wawrinka while Edmund has won all the last matches played over the last week and a half including the $125,000 Indian Wells Challenger. At night Elina Svitolina will meet Marketa Vondrousova, followed by Philipp Kohlschreiber against Gael Monfils. The Frenchman defeated the German 13 times out of 15. Kohlschreiber, who upset Novak Djokovic on Tuesday, defeated Monfils only at 2011 Halle and 2013 Stuttgart.

On Stadium 2 the lucky loser Miomir Kecmanovic meets Yoshihito Nishioka, followed by Milos Raonic against Jan-Lennard Struff. They are tied on 1-all in the head to head meetings, and Struff won the last match played in February this year i the Dubai Open opening round. Ivo Karlovic meets Dominic Thiem to write one more chapter of history.

Krajinovic feels confident ahead of the match: "I think I played really well from the beginning of the tournament. I was a little bit scared last night because I was a little bit sick. I didn’t know what to expect today, but everything went really well. I think I played a very, very good game today, and beat a rival who is an unbelievable player and who started the season really well so I’m happy for that and excited for the next one."
