Coach Gunter Bresnik reveals the main person behind Dominic Thiem's success

Dominic Thiem's coach Gunter Bresnik praised the Austrian player's success in the Indian Wells final over Roger Federer. "I am very happy for Dominic because he deserved winning the title. He did not start well the year physically but he went improving little by little. A big credit goes to Nicolas Massu. Thiem needed someone who was not as instinct as me. He also spoke highly of the three-set semifinal win over Milos Raonic on Saturday in Indian Wells. "I rarely saw such a good performance", admitted Bresnik.

Asked if he will play the Davis Cup finals in Madrid, Bresnik replied: "It is decided year by year. This year he will not be there. You have to win this way as well. For 2020, we will sit with the new president."
