Djokovic's French Open win not guaranteed. Nadal may be back - Panatta

In an interview on his YouTube Channel, the former world No. 4 Adriano Panatta commented on the Australian Open men's side. "Djokovic was the strongest, he played better than everyone, maybe too good in some ways. But one thing bothers me. Every once that you win a Grand Slam the way Djokovic did, all the others are old, done, for example, Federer and the younger players. About Federer, they have been saying it for too many years and he is still at the top physically and he is not 25 years old anymore. Last year he won titles including the Australian Open. And also about Djokovic, now everyone says he will win the French Open, achieve Calendar Grand Slam but who knows, Nadal may be in a good shape and win it. But let's see how the first clay-court tournaments go.

On the Italian tennis, Panatta added: "That was not a great campaign, Marco Cecchinato lost in the first round as well as Matteo Berrettini even though he was defeated by the rising star Stefanos Tsitsipas who played very well. Fabio Fognini lost to Pablo Carreno Busta for the sixth time in a row and it's a shame because Fabio has the technical abilities to go far, maybe reach the quarter-finals, crack the top 10, I said it 1,000 times. Seppi had a good run but we know that he always does his job. On the women's side, Camila Giorgi lost to Karolina Pliskova, who once was a world No. 1. Camila does not have a B plan, she has no tactics, she plays just one way and she just thinks about hitting beautiful shots. On the junior side we did well, Lorenzo Musetti won the junior title, he is very calm, moves very fast, he is talented, let's hope he does not waste his huge abilities."
