Like Roger Federer said, future of tennis is in good hands -Dubai organizer

The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship Tournament Director Salah Tahlak is not too worried about the future of tennis once the Big Three - Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic - end their career. Exclusively speaking to Tennis World USA, Tahlak said: "As Roger said himself at the closing ceremony, the future of tennis is in good hands with the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas playing – so no I am not worried."

Last year Dubai had a disappointing tournament looking at the player's field as just one top 15 player, Grigor Dimitrov, competed. The Tournament has deals with big companies. Were they disappointed as well? Was it an extra motivation for you looking at this year's event? "We were happy with last year’s tournament and the standard of play was fantastic."

Roger won his first career-title in 2001 Milan, a tournament owned by Dubai Duty-Free. He won his 100th in Dubai. Did you see it as a sign of destiny? "We were very pleased that Roger’s 100th career title happened in Dubai while his first title came in Milan, we like the connection."

How much of a relief is for you to have Federer back in the 2020 tournament? "We are always happy to have Roger play Dubai."
