The Year When Nadal Had No Answer To Federer's Brilliance
The 2017 season featured four matches between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, and it was always the Swiss player to prevail. Federer won a five-set Australian Open championship clash, straight-set Indian Wells fourth round and Miami Open final, straight-set Shanghai Masters final. In the Chinese event, Nadal was dealing with a knee injury in the late stages and he could barely run during that match against the Swiss. For the first time, Federer looked dominant against his biggest rival that year, as you can see by the video. They are yet to face each other since the Shanghai final.
