Week 12: the Miami Open is approaching!
Indian Wells has just finished with two big surprises: Dominic Thiem champions of the first ATP Masters 1000 of the season (it was his first career title in a Masters 1000 event - ed.), and the millennial Bianca Andreescu champion of the Premier Mandatory, her first career title.
The month of March, however, is planning another great event, in which the world of tennis is preparing: the Miami Open, second ATP Masters 1000 and Premier Mandatory of 2019, one of the most important tournaments of the season.
The WTA / ATP combined event will not have among its great protagonists Rafael Nadal, Maria Sharapova and Juan Martin del Potro. The Spaniard, after retiring before the most awaited semi-final against Roger Federer, will miss the tournament in Florida, while he should be present in Monte Carlo, for the start of the clay swing.
Meanwhile this week there will be qualifying rounds for the Miami Open, while the women's draw will start on 03/19/2019. There will be many stars on the hard courts for this prestigious tournament: Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Dominic Thiem, Milos Raonic, Tomas Berdych, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Kei Nishikori, Stan Wawrinka, Naomi Osaka, Simona Halep, Angelique Kerber, Serena Williams, Petra Kvitova , Aryna Sabalenka, Garbine Muguruza, Sloane Stephens and Bianca Andreescu.
The tournament will take place from 2019 March 18th to 2019 March 31st, for a fortnight of emotions and great tennis. This week there will also be two ATP Challenger in Lille, in France, and in Zhangjiagang, in China.
