Daniil Medvedev: 'Novak Djokovic's restaurant is delicious'

Daniil Medvedev has been living in Monte Carlo for a while, but the Russian player never visited Novak Djokovic's house. The Serb lives there too. "I do not even know what house he lives in", admitted Medvedev in an interview to Eurosport. "I once went to his restaurant. Delicious. Vegan. There is almost anything without gluten. It's called Evita, something connected to life. He explained it for entire but I do not remember exactly."

Asked if he wants to try this business as well, Medvedev replied: "Yeah, but so far I do not have enough resources for it. Tennis requires so much time that it's not enough for anything else. If you turn 30 years old and you train less, then you may have a chance to try it."

It is said that at 17 years of age Medvedev beat Djokovic in a training session. "It was a match tie-break. And then he did not play at full rhythm, who knows. I woke up at 4:50 to go train with him for the first time. Then I went to a Futures event in Minsk and he went to Canada. Many people think he is a pretty hard person but it's not like this, he is funny to me. He may have a strong attitude while training with his camp, and even when he was younger he was like this. But people with big goals behave this way. So this is how it should be. It is said that Lleyton Hewitt shouted a C'mon towards Roger Federer's face."
