Novak Djokovic: 'Daniil Medvedev is one of the rising stars'

Novak Djokovic expects a difficult quarter-final match against Daniil Medvedev in Monte Carlo. The Serbian player, following his 6-3 6-0 win over Taylor Fritz, said: “He’s played really well and is close to the top 10. He’s one of the rising stars. Big serve, great backhand, steps in but he’s also improved his improvement a lot compared to a few years ago. We’ve played a very long match at the Australian Open this year. "But once he started training with the Davis Cup French team in early April, he realized his body was not ready", said his agent Julien Casseigne. Gasquet is playing practice sets. "He will give himself all the chances to start again in the Madrid tournament", Casseigne added.
