Politicians should respect each other like Nadal, Federer do - Uncle Toni
In an interview to Antena 3, the Rafael Nadal's uncle Toni recalled a conversation he had with Rafael before facing Roger Federer in a final. "It was an hour and a half left and he asked me about the tactics. He once told me how I saw the match, I told him that winning was very complicated. Rafa told me: "Stop! Look at how you motivate me on the court!" I told him, If you want I can fool you, but the Swiss doesn't. We'd rather be aware of who we will have to face. I told him the truth because he was confident and he believed that he had chances to win. Rafa won the match", said the 58-year-old.
Then he also revealed another interesting conversation: "Years ago we were in Tarrasa. In a tournament where he lost the first set, I realized that his racket was broken since ever the beginning. I told him it and he replied, I am so used to always have a fault that I would have never imagined that the racket would make me play badly."
He finally said: "I once met some politicians in Mallorca that told me, How good Rafa makes us look like, he is a great example! I replied, You don't know but I am surprised that those values are not applied by you as well'. I am surprised that the respect between Rafa and Federer, which was not necessary for tennis, is not applied in politics when it's really necessary to do well to the society."
