Serena Williams's coach shares why Djokovic will beat Federer's Majors

In an interview to Ouest France, Serena Williams's coach Patrick Mouratoglou commented on Novak Djokovic's chances to break Roger Federer's 20 Grand Slam titles record. The Frenchman backed the Serb to accomplish it. "I always said, and I think, he can beat him. And again, he was out of the blocks for two years, otherwise, he could have already won. Can he win three Grand Slams a year for two more seasons? Tennis-wise, he is able to do it", he reflected.

Mouratoglou added: "I have been saying it for years. The greatest player ever is Federer. The one who plays in the best way with the racket is Federer. The best clay-courter is Rafa Nadal who then showed to be able to win everywhere. But the strongest out of the three is Djokovic. The difference? When the three are at their top, Djokovic beats the other two."

On his plans for the future, Mouratoglou added: "Offering online coaching, for the people who cannot afford themselves to come here, that's a great project and a real goal. Maybe building other academies in other places where we would be able to guarantee the same quality. Opening an Academy is not complicated. I could have opened ten if I wanted, but opening something that guarantees the same level of requirements and the same quality, it's really complicated."

Serena is training in the United States and she will soon fly to Europe near Nice to work at the Mouratoglou Academy ahead of the Rome Open.
