Switzerland will not have Roger Federer forever - Forget

In an interview, the French Open and Paris Masters Tournament Director Guy Forget commented on the French tennis that does not feature very high top-level players are the biggest ones like Gael Monfils and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga are getting older and dealing with injuries more and more. Forget believes that the work ethics will be the key for the future. "You become world No. 1 or a Grand Slam winner only by working. Million of people are mature. It's not by talent that you become number one. I think the French training system is good, we have clubs everywhere with tennis schools that work well and we need to continue like this, I am not worried for the future, but this system cannot generate an amazing player. The Swiss school will not have Roger Federer all days", said Forget.

The French Open is located in the centre of Paris city which is good and bad at the same time. "It's our strength but also our Achilles because we had to face all the legal rules that postponed the start of the development process for years, but staying in Paris is a great news because 30 per cent of the spectators come from abroad and once they get to the city, they have the French Open close to them."

Roger Federer is another person who is always active when it comes to charity. The Swiss is spending relaxing days in Switzerland and on Sunday last week, he came to a circus with his four children. "We all follow Roger's career with proudness, joy and excitement", said Maria-Josè, wife of the circus owner Fredy Knie. "And every year we look forward to welcoming him and his family." Federer said: "Everything is so nice. Congratulations to everyone."
