We will never stop watching Roger Federer also after he retires - Pundit
The Amazon Prime pundit Mark Petchey praised Roger Federer's legacy in tennis. Speaking after the Swiss player's triumph at the Miami Open, Petchey said people will speak about the Swiss forever. “I think just like great writers never die, until be stop quoting them, Roger Federer is never going to retire because we are never going to stop watching highlights of him. He is just simply an inspiration out there. He is a chameleon. He has won in Madrid on the blue clay when that came in. He started his career as an out-and-out serve and volleyer on grass, we now know he wins that tournament from the back of the court. He has played in an era with some other outlines; with Rafa and with Novak and he has beaten those. He is playing in an era with 6ft11 guys serving at him and he is still winning. It is phenomenal", said Petchey.
The former world No. 5 Daniela Hantuchova would not be surprised to see Federer leading the rankings again: “Right now for me, he’s the best player out there. I know rankings don’t lie. The first two matches we were all questioning that but the way he’s been able to turn that momentum around, he’s just got better with every match here in Miami."
