ATP Doubles: Jeremy Chardy and Fabrice Martin conquer Estoril Open

France's Jeremy Chardy and Fabrice Martin have won the 2019 Estoril Open doubles title.

The Frenchmen edged out British duo Luke Bambridge and Jonny O'Mara 7-5 7-6 (3) in the Estoril final.

Bambridge and O'Mara blew two set points in the eighth game before they failed to serve out for the first set in the ninth game.

The Britons paid the price for not realizing their chances as Chardy and Martin broke them in the 11th game to steal the opener.

The Frenchmen then dominated the second set tie-break as they led from the beginning until the end to seal a straight-set win.

Chardy and Martin converted 3-of-7 of their break point chances and saved 8-of-10 of the break point opportunities they faced on their way to winning their second team title.

Elsewhere, Denmark's Frederik Nielsen and Tim Puetz made it all the way in Munchen after beating Marcelo Demoliner and Divij Sharan in the final 6-4 6-2.

Nielsen and Puetz lost the opening two games of the match but broke Demoliner and Sharan in the third and seventh game to claim the first set.

Demoliner and Sharan won the first game of the second set but then got broken twice in a row as Nielsen and Puetz won five games in a row.

Demoliner and Sharan saved a match point in the seventh game but Nielsen and Puetz made no mistake when serving for the match in the following game.

Nielsen and Puetz converted 4-of-8 of their break point chances and saved 2-of-3 of Demoliner and Sharan's break point opportunities in just over an hour of play.

Nielsen and Puetz were playing together for the first time in their careers.
