ATP Madrid - Tuesday Schedule: Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic to play

A stunning order of play is waiting for us on Tuesday in Madrid. Simona Halep and Johanna Konta will open the schedule on Manolo Santana Stadium. The Brit leads head to head meetings 3-1, she won a stunning 2017 Wimbledon quarter-final in three sets. Two months after, Halep took a revenge in Cincinnati. After that, Novak Djokovic will face Taylor Fritz. David Ferrer starts his campaign in his last career tournament. The 37-year-old will play against his compatriot Roberto Bautista Agut. Ferrer leads head to head 2-1, he won both matches in 2013, while Bautista Agut has won their most recent meeting in the 2017 Australian Open. The night session will feature Roger Federer's comeback to clay for the first time since 2016 Rome. The Swiss will face Richard Gasquet, who defeated Alejandro Davidovich on Monday. Then at 9:30 PM Angelique Kerber will compete against Petra Martic. The "rivalry" between the two players started in 2008 Portoroz when the German won, followed by 2009 Sofia and 2012 French Open.

On the Arantxa Sanchez Vicario Stadium Stan Wawrinka will face the qualifier Pierre-Hugues Herbert, followed by Naomi Osaka and Sara Sorribes Tormo. Borna Coric and Lucas Pouille will face each other for the fourth time in career, the second this year after the Frenchman's success over the Croat in the Australian Open. Fabio Fognini will play his first match since triumphing in Monte Carlo, the Italian competitor will face Kyle Edmund.
