Casper Ruud: 'Nick Kyrgios was disrespectful in Rome'
In an interview to Punto de Break Casper Ruud commented on the Nick Kyrgios's behaviour during their match in Rome. Kyrgios threw a chair during the third set and he left the court. Speaking during the French Open, the Norwegian player said: "I did not want to say a lot about the match. What I can say is that he crossed the line. For everything he said during the match, for this kind of reactions. He insulted the spectator and experiencing something like this is not funny for the opponent. What he did was pretty disrespectful. He has his own character and I have nothing against him. He is a very funny player to watch but when he shouts like this is not good for everyone. That's my way to see things."
On his next match against Matteo Berrettini, Ruud added: "I never played against him. I know he will be a tough opponent because he has beaten Alexander Zverev and played several finals on clay. Very young, high and with a big serve. Now I have a day off and I can prepare the match. I think it will be a big challenge."
Asked how conditions are compared to Rome, Ruud replied: "I would say they are a bit quicker. There the courts were a bit different. I do not think you have such quality clay courts. They are unbelievable. I like those conditions a lot. I like how it is here. I played very well in Rome and if they asked me to choose, I would pick Paris over Rome. Here the clay is very consistent", Ruud concluded.
