French Open day 5 recap: Old-Next Gen battle will reach the climax

The Roland Garros 2019 is not only the second Major of the season, but it is one of the most important phases of the battle between the Old Generation and the Next Generation. The generational comparison in recent months has had two different judgments: the Old Gen dominates in the ATP Tour, the Next Gen is instead obtaining excellent results in the WTA Tour.

Today many exponents of these two factions have achieved important victories: Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Dominic Thiem, Serena Williams, Sofia Kenin, Amanda Anisimova and Naomi Osaka.

About the amazing players of the Old Gen, Roger Federer told a nice anecdote about the last edition of the French Open: "I have not seen so many games (we are talking about Roland Garros 2018 - ed) because I had other things to do; with four children who they play for home it's not easy to stop for two hours in front of the TV. A story in which Kyrgios should try to find space rather than criticize the aspects which he doesn't like.

Tomorrow great day at Roland Garros: Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Stan Wawrinka, Kei Nishikori, Naomi Osaka, Karolina Pliskova, Sloane Stephens, Garbine Muguruza, Elina Svitolina and Serena Williams.
