I won't play until 38 like Venus Williams, says Elina Svitolina

In press conference in Paris Elina Svitolina was asked if she sees herself playing until 38 years of age like Venus Williams is doing. The Ukrainian replied: "No. Definitely no. It takes lots of willpower, I think. It's amazing what she does and how she still keep going and still motivated to play. And, yeah, it's amazing. Even today, I was playing against her and thinking, you know, I'm not sure I will be here playing at that age. But she's a great player. Still can challenge, you know, everyone on tour."

On her next opponent, Svitolina added: "I know Kateryna for a long time. We played, I think, under -- I don't know -- in the eighth the first time. So, yeah, I haven't seen much of her game recently, but we'll see how it goes. I just try to don't think so much about the opponents who is on the other side of the net. I just try to take one match and just be ready for it. For me, the most important is that I am ready; I am feeling good on court; my movement is good; I'm mentally fresh, and that's what matters."

On the new French Open overall, Svitolina concluded: "The court is very, very nice. You know, just the only one thing uncomfortable is when you need to go through the crowd for your match and after your match. It's little bit uncomfortable, I would say. But I think security is doing their best to help us make it more comfortable. We have some waiting rooms there, but it's still -- you know, okay, today I won and it was nice to go through the crowd, but I think when you lose that's very, very disturbing, I would say. So the court itself is beautiful. I really enjoyed the bounce of it, and I think the crowd is -- when it's a full house, then it's great. And even, I mean, for all the matches that I saw a TV before me, they were nice, and I think people are enjoying it."
