Jack Sock delays comeback as he withdraws from Little Rock Challenger

American tennis star Jack Sock won't return to competitive action when planned as he has withdrawn from the Little Rock Challenger. 

The American has played only one tournament so far this season as, at the beginning of February, he underwent surgery to repair torn ligaments in his finger. 

In his lone tournament played this year, the 26-year-old suffered a surprise Australian Open first round loss at the hands of Australia's Alex Bolt. 

Sock's date for his return was set for the beginning of June as he hoped to return to action at the Little Rock Challenger. 

The Little Rock Challenger, which is set for its inaugural edition, is due to be held from June 03-09. 

Since winning the Paris Masters and making the semi-final at the Nitto ATP Finals at the end of 2017, the American has mightily struggled with his form and results. 

The American, now ranked at No. 167 in the world, hoped to return to the right track this season but instead, he suffered another disappointing setback at the beginning of the year. 

It remains to be seen when will former world No. 8 Sock return to action.
