Novak Djokovic: 'Quality of Grandstand court is really bad'

Novak Djokovic dismissed Philipp Kohlschreiber in straight sets, 6-3 6-0, to reach the Rome quarter-finals. In a press conference, the Serb said: "I'm very pleased with the way the day went for me. Actually, I like the fact that I didn't play yesterday because I felt like I needed an extra maybe day of rest and recovery a little bit. So it was perfect. I played both matches just above an hour. I didn't spend too much time. I felt the ball really well. Nothing much to say more. I mean, just very positive overall. It's very important, especially in days like this when you know if you win the first match you're going to have a second one later at night. Conditions are completely different between day and night. The ball bounces much different. It's very slow, very heavy on the court. It was fun to play on the different court because you're kind of closer to the crowd, you feel the atmosphere is really nice on the Grandstand. The quality of the court is really, really bad. But, you know, it is what it is. You just enjoy the experience of playing outside"

On Nick Kyrgios throwing the chair and leaving the court during his match against Casper Ruud, Djokovic added: "I don't know. I've seen it. I'll let others, officials, decide that. I have no opinion on that", Djokovic concluded.
