Rafael Nadal's achievements are impressive, says Agassi

In an interview, the eight-time Grand Slam winner Andre Agassi praised Rafael Nadal's defensive skills and physical strength. The American said: "I had never seen anyone move like this on a tennis court. He is definitely one of the best players ever for his focus, competitiveness, his physical condition. No one achieved it and what he achieved was impressive. Everything is given by the work, his colleagues and press respect him, people respect him and he always has time for them."

On his look, Agassi added: "Cutting all my hair was freedom. It was not easy. Imagine my fans, my sponsors... The way people used to see me. I felt very confused. But I felt pressureless."

The Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar and Scoutim, the leading platform looking at players, signed a deal to find new talents in tennis around the world. "The goal is to get a number of players that try to improve their game through the method of one of the best tennis players ever, and his uncle Toni Nadal that learned so many things during his experience on the ATP Tour", a press release was quoted as saying. "We will try to look for world-class players." Scoutim will hold summer camps in the Nadal Academy and several classes throughout the year.

Meanwhile, Josep Jordi Cambra, President of the Barcelona Tennis Club, said that holding the Spanish tournament is a responsibility and honour. "It's one of the few tournaments that belongs to a private club, here the members play tennis on a consistent basis and we want it to be a world-class event for the Barcelona city. The quality of players, the facilities and an organisation that turns the matches in a positive experience whatever the result is, is the key. That creates a good environment. Tennis is an excuse to get people who love sports involved and who are interested to come with their friends. The relationship with Banco Sabadell is necessary, the tournament needs powerful endorsements. We feel identified with their values, here everyone wins."
