Rome Masters doubles event set to feature star names

Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov and Croatian Borna Coric have signed up to play doubles at the Rome Masters

Dimitrov, 27, and 22-year-old Coric are set to debut as a team as they have no previous appearances together.

Dimitrov and Coric will be meeting French Lucas Pouille and USA's Frances Tiafoe in their Rome.opener.

Austrian superstar Dominic Thiem is also set for more doubles action as he will play in Rome alongside fellow compatriot Jurgen Melzer.

Thiem and Melzer are set to play doubles together for the second time this year as they made the Monte Carlo Masters round-of-16 in April.

Thiem and Melzer have been drawn to meet Italian wildcard duo Filippo Baldi and Andrea Pellegrino in the Rome first round.

The Zverev brothers haven't been handed an easy Rome opener as they will open their campaign against sixth-seeded Raven Klaasen and Michael Venus.

Meanwhile, in-form Italians Matteo Berrettini and Fabio Fognini are due to face Kyle Edmund and Neal Skupski in the Rome first round.
