Week 21: Alexander Zverev comes back in Geneva

The week before the French Open will be very important, both for tennis players engaged on the court and for those who will rest and train for the Parisian tournament. There will be four events in these seven days: two ATP tournaments and two WTA tournaments.

Men's will be engaged in Geneva and Lyon. In Switzerland, at the Geneva Open 2019, Alexander Zverev looks for points and satisfaction after five months of too much downs and few ups. The German will lead the draw. With him there will be also Stan Wawrinka. The Swiss is also trying to regain shape after the problems of 2018.

In France, Nikoloz Basilashvili leads the draw of the Open Parc Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Lyon 2019. On the courts there will be other stars like Denis Shapovalov, Roberto Bautista, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Richard Gasquet and Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Women's will play in Germany and France. At the Nürnberger Versicherungscup 2019, Yulia Putintseva, Katerina Siniakova, Ajla Tomljanovic and Andrea Petkovic will be the stars of the seeding. Ashleigh Barty, Daria Gavrilova, Aryna Sabalenka and Qiang Wang will be at the Internationaux de Strasbourg 2019. All the tournaments will be played on clay-courts, and will be a real pre-Roland Garros starters.

There will also be two ATP Challengers: the Jerusalem Volvo Open, in Jerusalem, Israel, on hard-courts, and the International Tennis City of Vicenza, in Vicenza, Italy, on clay-courts.
