ATP Wimbledon - DRAW: Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal share the same half

The 133rd edition of The Championships at Wimbledon starts on Monday, with 128 players battling for glory and the most significant title in our sport. The defending champion and the top seed Novak Djokovic opens the campaign against a former quarter-finalist Philipp Kohlschreiber, with Denis Kudla, Malek Jaziri, Ernests Gulbis, Leonardo Mayer, Dusan Lajovic or Hubert Hurkacz waiting in the more comfortable second and third rounds. In the fourth round, Novak could meet Felix Auger-Aliassime, Grigor Dimitrov or Gael Monfils and we will see if anyone is capable of staging a surprise and taking Novak out in the early stages. Stefanos Tsitsipas is the second-highest ranked player in the first quarter, facing Daniil Medvedev, David Goffin and Kyle Edmund, seeking even better result than in 2018 when he played in the last 16.

The runner-up from last year Kevin Anderson and Alexander Zverev are the players to beat in the second quarter, having to beat Pierre-Hugues Herbert, Stan Wawrinka, a former finalist Milos Raonic, Karen Khachanov, Feliciano Lopez and Benoit Paire before the potential quarter-final clash. Two-time Wimbledon champion Rafael Nadal is in the third quarter together with Dominic Thiem, hoping for another great run here just like in 2018, struggling a lot at the All England Club after 2011. Nadal could face Nick Kyrgios in the second round and Denis Shapovalov or Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in R3, having to work hard from the very beginning to find himself in the second week.

Marin Cilic, Fabio Fognini, Gilles Simon, Sam Querrey and Dominic Thiem (one of the best first-round clashes) also standing between the Spaniard and the place in the semi-final and he must be eager to give his best a few weeks after lifting the 12th Roland Garros trophy. In the bottom quarter, the eight-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer kicks off the action for the 21st straight year against Lloyd Harris, with Lucas Pouille or Richard Gasquet waiting in the third round. Kei Nishikori, Tomas Berdych, Matteo Berrettini, John Isner and Borna Coric should be his main rivals in the battle for the semi-final spot and Roger is undoubtedly the favorite to find himself in the last four for the 13th time!
