Kyle Edmund ready for Eastbourne after putting in big work in his practices

British tennis star Kyle Edmund is looking forward to playing Eastbourne after putting in the big work on the practice courts. 

The 24-year-old opened his grass season at the Queen's Club last week but didn't impress as he was beaten by Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in the first round.

Edmund, ranked at No. 31 in the world, is how set to make his fifth appearance at the Eastbourne event. 

The Briton, seeded at No. 3 in the Eastbourne main draw, had a first round bye at the tournament.

Edmund is set to open his Eastbourne campaign against fellow compatriot Cameron Norrie, who beat Jeremy Chardy in the first round. 

"I have just had the one match this year on the grass at Queen's so since then I have been on the court a lot just doing more practice point play, trying to get sharper. It's one of the things I felt coming off the match court in Queen's that I wanted to be sharper, a bit quicker, a bit stronger out the corners, a bit more confident moving on it. So just trying to work on that and I feel I'm in a better place," Edmund told the LTA.
