Milos Raonic set to return to competitive action in Stuttgart
Canadian tennis star Milos Raonic is in London training as he will be ready to return to competitive action in the opening week of the grass season at the Marcedes Cup in Stuttgart, per John Horn.
Raonic, ranked at No. 18 in the world, missed the whole clay season because of a knee injury as he hasn’t played since making the Miami Masters third round.
Raonic, 28, will be making his second appearance on the grass courts of Stuttgart next month.
The 28-year-old fell just short of having a dream Stuttgart debut last year as he won four matches in straight sets to reach the final before losing to Swiss Roger Federer.
2016 Wimbledon runner-up Raonic will certainly be hoping to have another successful Stuttgart campaign as he will be gunning to have a big grass season.
However, former world No. 3 Raonic won’t have an easy job in Stuttgart as Stan Wawrinka, Nick Kyrgios, Denis Shapovalov, Gael Monfils and Jo Wilfred Tsonga are also expected to play at the tournament.
It remains to be seen how will Raonic play in his comeback tournament, which is scheduled to be held from June 10-16.
