Oliver Marach finds new doubles partner

Austrian Oliver Marach has found a new doubles partner as he has formed a partnership with fellow compatriot Jurgen Melzer, as revealed by Twitter user De Nela.

After two and a half years, the partnership between 38-year-old Marach and 25-year-old Croatian Mate Pavic came to an end after a French Open round-of-16 loss.

Soares formed a partnership with Pavic, while Murray plans to team up with fellow compatriot Neal Skupski.

Marach and Pavic enjoyed a successful collaboration as the two won a total of six titles together, with the biggest one being the one they captured at the Australian Open last year.

Marach and 38-year-old Melzer debuted as a pair almost two decades when they played at the Kamnik Challenger in 2001.

Marach and Melzer’s best result together came in Metz last year, when they made the semi-final.

Marach and Melzer have also represented Austria several times in the Davis Cup as they as a team have a 2-2 record in the competition.
