Promising star Paul Jubb in a no rush to turn professional

Promising Briton Paul Jubb is in a no rush to turn professional despite proving capable of winning matches and enjoying success this grass season. 

The 19-year-old plays college tennis as he is a member of the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Jubb made his Challenger debut at the beginning of the grass season when he picked up a first-round exit at the Surbiton Challenger.

The following week the Briton clinched his maiden Challenger win as he made the Nottingham second round before making the Ilkley Challenger round-of-16 a week later. 

However, Jubb's success didn't end there as he then won two qualifying matches in Eastbourne to qualify for his first ATP main draw.

The Briton failed to clinch his maiden ATP win in Eastbourne as American rising star Taylor Fritz was just too much for him. 

Jubb, who didn't have a ranking a couple of weeks ago, is now ranked at No. 472 in the world.

Jubb's results didn't go unnoticed as The All England Club awarded him a Wimbledon wildcard for the upcoming Major event.

The 19-year-old is set to make his Grand Slam debut as he will be highly motivated to leave a good impression in his Wimbledon debut.

In an exclusive interview given to The Telegraph, Jubb said: "I don’t feel a rush right now (to turn professional). I am still developing my body physically. Maybe if I won Wimbledon..."
