Thinking in 2005 that Rafael would win 12 French Open was crazy - Toni

Toni Nadal spoke about his nephew Rafael's work ethics. "He is a guy who wants to do everything to succeed. He did it yesterday and in the last weeks. Before Rome, the level was not the ideal one. That's his main thing. He is a great player. You get used to that year after year and when you get to Paris, when you get asked who is the favourite, you say Rafa. On Nadal's effort, Toni added: "Every practice was very important when he was a kid. I made him understand that training was as important as a final."

Analyzing the French Open final, he added: "The most important thing was his mental abilities. He coped with the tough moments, he broke back on 3-all in the third set. After the break at the end of the second set, he was focused on playing his game without being worried about losing the set. When you are at the top, not just Federer but also Djokovic, are confident in the key moments."

On Nadal, Serena Williams' coach Patrick Mouratoglou said: "We have been saying he is done for years. You need to accept that he goes through the normality. Even when he is in trouble, he is there. It's important to make rational ideas."
