Kyrgios may be the most dangerous second round opponent for Nadal - Roig

In an interview the Rafael Nadal' coach Francis Roig commented on the upcoming match between the Spaniard and Nick Kyrgios. Roig recalled the first time when they faced each other, in 2014 Wimbledon fourth round with the Australian prevailing: "I did not see it live. Seeing it on TV is different. What I remember is a very young Nick Kyrgios who had a lot of potential. He was good, dangerous and he may not have had the evolution in terms of results that people expected, but the level of dangerousness keeps being the same. It may be the most dangerous second round. In terms of name maybe yes, in terms of game I do not know because there are many players who people do not look at and that we know they are dangerous. The proof is that seeded players have lost. What happens is that Kyrgios, with all what is said about him, is a very difficult round. We have to play a tough match against Nick, who will have good and not that good moments."

On Kyrgios hitting underarm serves, Roig added: "That's part of his game. It's difficult to change fortnight. I believe that he does it without bring aware. We expect the highest level. He showed that playing those matches is something he likes, so we need to be prepared for the best Nick."

On Kyrgios, Mats Wilander said: I don’t mind whatever he does on the court so long as he is actually trying to win the tennis match. You can win in many different ways, second serve aces, tweeners, so long as at the end of matches you want to win.”
