Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut set to team up again
French superstar doubles duo Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut are set to once again share the same side of the net, per Michal Samulski.
Herbert, 28, and 37-year-old Mahut will play doubles together at the Cincinnati Masters and US Open.
The Frenchmen made a great start to the season as they won the Australian Open title to collect a Career Grand Slam.
Herbert and Mahut then made a surprising announcement as they revealed they wouldn't play team up at the French Open and Wimbledon.
The main reason behind their decision was Herbert's intention to focus more on his singles career.
After winning the Queen's doubles title in his comeback tournament, Andy Murray announced Herbert as his Wimbledon doubles partner.
Herbert later claimed to the media that he spoke with Mahut and that he tried to explain to his good friend that it was a chance he simply couldn't pass on.
Mahut refused to publicly say something negative about his good friend and long-time partner but it was clear that he didn't take well Herbert's decision to play doubles with Murray at Wimbledon.
Many speculated about their relationship but now it's clear that the two are still on good terms.
