Roger Federer fired up for US Open: 'New York is my favorite city'
Roger Federer was asked what's his favorite city. The Swiss player replied: "It's a lot of entertaining cities, I live a very cool life I must say that I can travel to all these places, so it's hard to choose from. New York is one of the craziest and coolest places on earth. I always enjoy going to Shanghai as well, and then I have really gotten to also love Paris and London but if I had to pick one probably for some reasons it's always going to be New York", said Federer, who last won the US Open title in 2008.
Asked how he would like to be remembered, Federer replied: "I want to be one of the guys who helped grow the game. I was a joy to watch, that made people happy, that gave interesting interviews if you like, because we do too much press, we have to do a lot of press so for me it's about connecting to the people and if they remember me for that, that's great."
Federer was finally asked about his strings' tension: "I am probably around 26 or 27 kilos, depending on the speed court conditions, how humid it is and if I have historically played well there, I am not sure."
Asked if he may train with Rafael Nadal again, the 37-year-old concluded: "You never know, I practiced once with him at the World Tour Finals at the O2."
