Roger Federer, Nadal, Djokovic are the best players ever: Krajicek
In an interview with Express, the 1996 Wimbledon winner and former world no. 4 Richard Krajicek praised Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray's dominance. The Dutch said: "I think we are seeing the best men's tennis ever played and they are playing at the same time basically. Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Andy Murray and at times also Stan Wawrinka has shown some incredible tennis. We are as tennis fans very spoiled to be able to see that. There is a lot of variation. Federer can play everything. He can play serve and volley, play from the back, he's got a beautiful classic one-handed backhand. You've got Nadal, who is a leftie, an unbelievable grinder and fighter like Murray as well. Then Djokovic, who can also play everything."
Continuing about the world no. 1, Krajicek said, "Maybe not as much serve and volley but he's the quickest player I've ever seen and the toughest competitor. Four players have taken this game to another level. Normally every generation is better than the generation before but I think this is the first time the players are not better. We are watching the greatest generation of tennis players ever and next-generation have to wait until these guys retire. I think the future looks bright. Will there be another Roger Federer? I don't know. Maybe not someone who is going to be so big but we have some really great players. I'm looking forward to the future."
Krajicek is also the Rotterdam Open Tournament Director. Federer last won this event in 2018, he became world no. 1 again afterwards.
