Borna Coric to play at inaugural edition of Zhuhai Championships
Croatian tennis star Borna Coric has signed up to play at the inaugural edition of the Zhuhai Championships, the tournament announced.
Coric, ranked at No. 14 in the world, is the sixth player confirmed for the Zhuhai event.
The Zhuhai organizers are keen on adding as many star players as they can for this year's event as they are aiming to have a big inaugural edition.
World No. 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas, Wimbledon semifinalist Roberto Bautista Agut and former world No. 6 Gael Monfils have also signed up to play Zhuhai.
Australia's Nick Kyrgios -- who recently won his sixth ATP title in Washington -- and his fellow compatriot Alex de Minaur will also be participating at the Zhuhai event.
Coric, who reached a career-high ranking of No. 12 in the world last year, hasn't yet won a title this year.
However, the 22-year-old Croatian will certainly be among the top favorites to become the first Zhuhai champion.
The Zhuhai Championships will take place from September 23-29.
