Tsitsipas: 'I need to make extra step to beat Federer, Djokovic, Nadal'
Stefanos Tsitsipas recently achieved his career-high ranking position at No. 5. Now only Dominic Thiem, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are ahead of him. On how it feels to be the world No. 5 in the world, the Athens native said: "It's been a rollercoaster. I had ups and downs and now I am in this position. I am really happy that I managed to overcome all these difficulties to get here. It was not easy. Now I obviously want to achieve more."
On the Big Three, Tsitsipas added: "They have been there dominating for years. I know that I need to take the extra step to pass them and get to that level. So far they have been there, winning tournaments and doing very well and it's quite challenging to beat those guys."
On Nick Kyrgios, who he lost to in the Washington semifinals, the 20-year-old said: "He has improved a lot since the last time I played him. His serve is massive and he feels very comfortable playing from the baseline which is a big advantage for a big guy like him. He has big weapons."Tsitsipas is looking forward to competing in Cincinnati: "I really like the facility, they are keeping it only for tennis, and the fans are great, they love watching tennis, I actually got a lot of support. I do not really know about Cincinnati itself."
Last year in Cincinnati Tsitsipas lost to the Belgian David Goffin in a straight-set opening round match.
