USA's Frances Tiafoe speaks in importance of Davis Cup

Rising American star Frances Tiafoe hopes to represent his nation at the inaugural Davis Cup Finals event as he claims the Davis Cup means more than playing any other tournament. 

The United States, a record 32-time Davis Cup champions, will be aiming to end their drought in Madrid later this year and win their first Davis Cup title since 2007. 

"Davis Cup means more than playing any other tournament. You have the whole team behind you, the country, the physios, everybody working for you, and you just want to do it for the country," Tiafoe told the Davis Cup Finals website.

Fourth top-ranked American Tiafoe debuted in the Davis Cup last year, when his side took on Croatia in Zadar. 

The 21-year-old failed to lead his side to the Davis Cup final as he lost to Croatia's Borna Coric in the deciding fifth rubber of their semifinal tie. 

It remains to be seen will United States Team Captain Jim Courier make Tiafoe a part of the American team at the Davis Cup Finals event from November 18-24.
