Nick Kyrgios has beer in press conference, then answers question
Nick Kyrgios spoke about his physical condition. The Australian player was forced to withdraw from the Sunday action at the Laver Cup. When a reporter was asking him a question, Kyrgios had a beer and then answered. "I felt my collar bone", said the 24-year-old. "I think just the amount I played yesterday, the occasion, the pressure, it was just too much for my body but hindsight was probably a good thing. Fritz stepped up today, it was amazing seeing one of my good mates and we all were behind him. It's really one of the most special moments he's gonna remember for the rest of his career. He stepped up on the day three of Laver Cup and myself, Shapo, John Isner, have played this before. We know how hard it is to get off for those days and he did amazing today and I was super happy for him.
It was one of the more amazing special moments in my career watching a tennis match so it's upsetting, this is one of my favorite events of the year and for me to pull out of a match is never easy but I would have been selfish if I was gonna go out there and maybe after a set call it when I got someone like Taylor on the bench who is healthy and ready to go and more than capable of beating guys like Dominic Thiem so I am just happy for him. Obviously the loss is tough but that moment was pretty special."
