US Open - Tuesday Schedule: Federer at night, Wawrinka in the day session
Roger Federer and Grigor Dimitrov will headline the night session on the Arthur Ashe Stadium at the US Open. The Swiss player will try to beat the Bulgarian for the eighth time over eight matches played. Before Federer, Serena Williams will step on the court to play against Qiang Wang.
At day, Elina Svitolina meets Johanna Konta, followed by Stan Wawrinka against Daniil Medvedev. The Swiss is coming from his win over Novak Djokovic on Sunday and he may take advantage of Medvedev's tiredness.
On his evolution in the tournament, Dimitrov said: "I think one of the things I would say is very important to me is with every match you kind of build up a momentum, you're starting to find your grip, your way around the court. I started playing on Court 11, so that was not the easiest thing to do, going from a small court to bigger court to bigger court. Again, those are the steps you need to take in order to push through that barrier. For me, that's the most important thing, putting in the right work every single day, whether you're playing or not. That's what I've been doing, whether it's an off day or the walkover in the second round. Whatever it is, I kept on going forward, just tried to look in that particular moment what I can do well, what I can do better. You put that little brick every single day. You control the things that you can control. That's what I've been focusing on the most."
