Novak Djokovic spoke about his rivalry with Rafael Nadal. The Belgrade native said: "We had this amazing rivalry during our careers, which is something consistent, but our relationship and the respect we have for one another on and off the court allows us to play charity matches and support our Foundation each other, which is very important."
Djokovic also said the 2012 Australian Open final was probably the most emotional match they have ever played each other. "Six hours. It was something really amazing."
Djokovic added: "I am one year older than Rafa. If we reach Roger's age playing so well like him at 38, we will be happy."
Nadal also thanked the Belarusian President Alexandr Lukashenko. "I will give him the US Open shirt I won with. Hopefully he likes it."
He finally praised the Kazakhstan President Bulat Utemuratov: "Tennis needs people like Bulat, with his passion and perspective for the sport. We cannot thank him enough for what he does for our sport."
Nadal said: "This is my third visit to Kazakhstan. We are excited to be here. I enjoyed every visit to this beautiful capital, but this visit is a special one because I am able to meet you and visit this beautiful Palace."
Djokovic concluded: "Thank you, Mr. President, for supporting tennis in Kazakhstan. We are very happy to contribute to the development and promotion of tennis in your country."
