Andy Murray and Kim Sears have become parents for the third time. According to British reports, the three-time Grand Slam winner's wife has given birth to a boy after having two girls, the three-year-old Sophia and the two-year-old Edie.
Murray's grandfather Roy Erskine revealed the news speaking to Scottish Sun: "It’s a wee boy, I don’t know his name yet. I’ve seen photos. I’m just glad it’s over. They’re doing fine," he said.
Murray played four tournaments in a row over the last month-and-a-half – Zhuhai, Beijing, Shanghai and Antwerp – and he won the title at the European Open defeating the Swiss Stan Wawrinka. Before that event, Murray revealed about his upcoming fatherhood which could have forced him to leave Antwerp sooner than planned. He went all the way there and came back home. Vienna's Erste Bank Open was ready to hand Murray a wild card invitation, but the 32-year-old decided to take a break and he will show up again at the Davis Cup Finals in Madrid.
After his tight loss to Fabio Fognini in Shanghai, Murray had admitted the way to get to the highest level was still a long one: "There is a lot of things that I need to get better at, and I can do much better. I will go away and I'll work on those things and be in a better position next time I play against him."
