Federer, Nadal and Djokovic have left some room to the younger guys - Annacone

In an interview with Tennis.com, Paul Annacone spoke about the 2019 ATP season. The American said: "It's been a long and fun year. We have seen a lot of new faces both on the men's and women's tour. This year it's really interesting at the end of the year, fresh new faces at the ATP Finals. For a long time now we have been wondering if Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafa Nadal are ever gonna open the door at all so these young players can get in and they are still dominating the Majors but we have three new players at the year-end championships which is terrific. You see Tsitsipas there, Berrettini, Medvedev, it's their first time there and there is a huge group behind them, also Shapovalov, Alex De Minaur, Felix Auger-Aliassime. Taylor Fritz has had a good year as well finishing around 30 in the world, so a lot of promise and possibility and for me, it's fun to speculate, project and see what they can do in 2020. It's gonna be a lot of fun."
Annacone is coaching Taylor Fritz, the 22-year-old fellow American: "He is trying to climb the ranks, the ladder. I was fortunate to be at the top of the ladder with Pete and Roger and hopefully, some of those experiences can help Taylor maximize his talent whatever it is."
On Federer, he concluded: "I could not believe at how receptive he was to constructive criticism. It was unbelievable. It takes a lot to get that man's pulse up and get frustrated and that's one of the reasons why he is so great. He is very good about taking constructive criticism."
