2017 champion Jo Wilfried Tsonga to play Rotterdam
Former world No. 5 Jo Wilfried Tsonga has been confirmed for the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament as the Frenchman will be making his seventh appearance in Rotterdam this coming February.
The 34-year-old Frenchman has had success throughout his career in Rotterdam as he ended runner-up at the tournament in 2011 but won it all six years later after beating Belgium's Davis Goffin in the final.
Tsonga, now ranked at No. 29 in the world, will be aiming to make a splash in Rotterdam between February 10-16 but it won't be easy as 10 players from the top-20 are expected to play at the event.
The top two stars at the event will be world No. 5 Daniil Medvedev, who made nine finals this past season, and 2019 Nitto ATP Finals champion Stefanos Tsitsipas.
"It is the player field that we aim for every year, wide with many top players. By doing so you can see beautiful tennis every day and there is a high chance of exciting matches ever day. The mix of young toptalent and established names is expected to lead to beautiful duels," Rotterdam Tournament Director Richard Krajicek said in a press release.
