Bob Bryan on Andy Murray: 'I expect to see him playing for many more years, winning'

While some are speculating that Andy Murray's career may be impacted by the pelvic injury that forced him to pull out of the Australian Open and the two ATP events in February, doubles legend Bob Bryan thinks that the Scot will be able to play for many more years.

The doubles specialist Bob also had a major hip operation in 2018 but returned successfully to the tour to continue his record-breaking partnership with twin brother Mike. Murray underwent a similar surgery on his hip 12 months ago after losing early in Australia and won the ATP title in Antwerp in October before the pelvic injury delayed his comeback once again.

Speaking to the press in Melbourne where the Bryans will be competing in their last Australian Open, Bob Bryan says, "I talked to him last week. He's got something unrelated to the hip injury -- his hip feels great. All his numbers are off the charts, he tests the speed and the strength. He's right back where he was when he was number one, which is incredible. That's good to hear."

Bryan added that Murray's recent documentary showed just how much of a hard worker he is and that the Scot will do everything he can to come back. "If anyone saw the documentary, you'll know how crazy he is with the work, he's a madman. He's going to put it in, he's going to do everything he can. I expect to see him playing for many more years, winning."
