Marton Fucsovics after dismantling Denis Shapovalov: I played my best tennis

Denis Shapovalov, the 20-year-old Israeli-borne Canadian flair was eliminated in the first round of ’20 AO following a lengthy and muck-sweat clash on Monday (January 20th) morning.
In point of fact, Shapovalov appeared to be more occupied with bushfire related health concerns from the beginning of the match, in particular after the Greek young gun, Tsitsipas had been diagnosed with a lung disease a day earlier, while it seemed the Canadian had not really been in the match.
Nonetheless, despite a strong 2019, the 13th seed Shapovalov had to depart the Australian Open after handing over the win to the 67th ranked 27-year-old Hungarian Márton Fucsovics following 65 unforced error, however, Fucsovics’ efforts could not be undermined since it had been the second time the Hungarian had beaten a thirteenth seed in a Grand Slam.
Besides, the No. 67 seed, Fucsovics, who had beaten the Canadian soul-stirring, Shapovalov 6-3, 6-7(7), 6-1, 7-6(3), would meet the Italian star Jannik Sinner or an Aussie wildcard Max Purcell in the second round.
Meanwhile, after beating a world's No. 13 for the second time in his career, the world’s 67th ranked Fucsovics said in the on-court interview on Monday (January 20th) morning, “Usually this is not a lucky number, but for me, my favourite number, I played some of my best tennis today. Everything was working well.”
