Jannik Sinner's first win in a Grand Slam match

Jannik Sinner won his first round match at the Australian Open 2020 (spreaded in two days due to rain), beating Max Purcell with the final score of 7-6 (2), 6-2 6-4. The young Italian star had to wait for the day 2 of the tournament to win his first match in a Slam event, after a convincing victory.
This is another important step for the 18 year-old trained by Riccardo Piatti. Sinner started his 2020 with two defeats at the Apis Canberra International Challenger and at the ASB Classic, but at the Australian Open he already showed why many consider him the future star of men's tennis.
In the second round Jannik Sinner will face Márton Fucsovics. There will therefore not be the highly anticipated challenge against Denis Shapovalov, eliminated in the first round by Fucsovics.
