Rusedksi:Roger Federer,Rafael Nadal e Djokovic are the favorites for the Slams but...
Greg Rusedski, a former British and Canadian player who retired in 2007, spoke to Sky Sports, listing the players he sees as possible winners of the four Grand Slams in 2020. "I think you have to put the top three [Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic] as favorites but I think that Tsitsipas' statement at the O2 [2019 Nitto ATP Finals] was impressive. He had a match where he had already qualified and he pushed Rafael Nadal all the way to the distance and that's reminiscent of great champions," said the former US Open finalist.
"They don't really care whether they're 2-0 in the group and have already qualified for the semis, they expend everything in every match and for every point. I think that he's something special and I think that he's got a shot, possibly, if anybody is going to win a Grand Slam outside of those big three - I like him,” the man with 15 ATP titles added.
"Another guy who we haven't talked a lot about is Karen Khachanov. He had a silent year but he's got some firepower on him and some game. If he gets the mentality right, watch out for those Russians, Khachanov and [Andrey] Rublev as well," the former World No. 4 concluded, surprisingly not including the actual World No. 4 and compatriot of Khachanov and Rublev: Daniil Medvedev.
