ATP and Tennis Europe join forces in creating Tennis Europe Junior School

Composed of 50 European member nations, Tennis Europe is the largest regional association of the sport's governing body, ITF. Based in Basel, Tennis Europe takes care of various junior and senior events across the continent, organizing European Junior Championships and many other significant tournaments for different age groups. Working closely with the ATP as well, two organizations have announced their latest partnership named Tennis Europe Junior School, an educational program designed to prepare U14 and U16 players for life on the professional tennis level.

The School content is available online for all players free-of-charge, with interactive live classes held at ten of the biggest European junior tournaments this year, offering a chance for the youngsters to learn about anti-doping, safeguarding, nutrition and hydration, agents and sponsorship and social media. Top-ranked players, coaches, manufacturers and management agencies will all share their experience with the upcoming youngsters, preparing them for challenging but exciting life on the pro events that should come quickly, especially for those who decide to finish their junior duties before turning 18. 

ATP Chief Player Officer Ross Hutchins said: "Expanding our player education programs and reaching the world's best players at a young age is a key priority for the ATP. We look forward to working with the Tennis Europe Junior School to ensure that emerging talents are as well-equipped as possible to deal with the future demands of life on the professional Tour." 

Tennis Europe CEO Thomas Hammerl said: "We are delighted to have the collaboration of the ATP for this project, which means we are now working with both governing bodies, the ATP and WTA. Education is a vital part of our strategy and with this agreement, we ensure that players receive consistent and correct information on important topics for their professional careers. The feedback from players, parents, coaches and federations has been fantastic; it motivates us to continue to invest in this area."
