Directors take on Ronaldinho’s life after Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal documentary

Andrew Douglas — who recorded ‘Strokes of Genius’, the documentary which highlighted the epic 2008 Wimbledon final between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal — and his brother, Stuart Douglas, are directing the production of a new masterpiece focusing on Ronaldinho Gaucho, the Brazilian football player who conquered the world with his outstanding talent and touch of the ball.

Ronaldinho, now at 39 years old, is retired from the big scene of football, but he can boast with the fact that he played and excelled at teams like PSG, FC Barcelona, AC Milan and, also, for the Brazilian national team throughout his prolific career.

Ronnie, as Ronaldinho is often called by, is considered one of the greatest football players of all time. He won two FIFA World Player of the Year awards and a Ballon d’Or while also conquering UEFA Champions League with FC Barcelona in the 2005-2006 season.

The documentary directed by The Douglas Brothers was filmed in three different locations since it started a year ago: Brazil, the natal country of the footballer; Barcelona, the city where he trained during his time at the famous Catalan team; and London, a city which stands close to his heart.

However, the release date of the documentary is still unknown, but chances are it will be another successful production, especially if we look at Andrew Douglas’ previous ‘Stroke of Genius’ documentary through which he shed a bright light on the 2008 Wimbledon duel between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal that ended with the Spaniard’s victory after a festival of tennis which will live in the history books.
